Oak Cutting Board Care

Proper care is essential to maintain the beautiful appearance and durability of an oak cutting board.

Wash the cutting board by hand with lukewarm water and dishwashing liquid
Do not wash the cutting board in the dishwasher or leave it soaking in water for long periods
After washing, wipe the cutting board dry and place it in a position that allows air to circulate around both sides, for example, standing upright
Avoid prolonged exposure to excessive moisture and high temperatures
To prevent the wood from drying out, it is recommended to oil the cutting board occasionally

Oiling the Cutting Board

Before oiling, make sure the cutting board is clean and completely dry. Apply a thin layer of food-safe oil to both sides and the edges of the cutting board. Allow the oil to absorb for at least a couple of hours, then wipe off any excess oil.
